Investing for Nonprofits

We’ve talked in past episodes about the fiduciary responsibility of your Board, where they protect your assets which helps further the mission. A good option to consider is the possibility of investing some of your assets in order to make the money grow. It sounds like a good idea, but where do you start? Is it safe?

Should your nonprofit consider it? What do you need to do to get to this point, and when do you know you’re at this point? It sounds pretty complex, but to help sort this all out we have invited Chelsea Seibel to be our guest on this episode. Chelsea is a Florida financial consultant for Manning & Napier, an investment firm based in Rochester, New York. She works with both for-profit and nonprofit groups, and we’ve invited her here to give us some insight and to help you think about your options when it comes to your nonprofit.
